About us

What we do

We provide support for any pregnant person regardless of their beliefs or situation. We value mutual aid and envision a community in which we collaboratively meet each other’s needs. We believe that no one should have to justify their needs in order to have them met.

We hope to build a circle of mutual support that will grow until it includes everyone. The model of a circle means we all share the work, we all give help, and we all ask for help when we need it.

Our services

  • Abortion support

We believe abortion should be safe, legal and accessible to anyone who needs it, for any reason.

Abortion is not currently legal in the state of Arkansas. We are committed to helping people assess their options for obtaining an abortion. This looks like providing informational, emotional, and physical support for people accessing abortion services in Northwest Arkansas and our neighboring communities.

  • Reproductive health support

We believe reproductive health care is a right for all bodies.

We offer physical and emotional support for sexual and pelvic health visits, as well as help accessing and understanding birth control and safer sex needs.

We also support many routes to parenthood. We can help identify options for non judgemental pregnancy care and navigation options for adoption in our area.

  • Parenting and family support

We believe parenthood should be an option for anyone who so chooses.

We can offer help accessing resources such as WIC, ARKids, and Medicaid along with referrals to community partners who can help you get things like diapers, formula, or other baby/child needs. We are committed to community building and connecting others to care networks for families.

  • Anything else that fits with our values and mission

Many of us have expertise in the areas above, but we are also just people learning how to thrive. Sometimes it’s easier to do something hard with someone else beside you, and we are here to be that person for you.

Who we are

We are a secular collective of Northwest Arkansas residents who believe in the right to reproductive and abortion services free from judgment or stigma.

  • We provide support for any pregnant person regardless of their beliefs or situation.

  • We value mutual aid and envision a community in which we collaboratively meet each other’s needs.

  • We believe that no one should have to justify their needs in order to have them met.

Our members are from many different backgrounds and our training comes from our experiences and preparation as doulas, midwives, activists, nurses, scholars, social workers, neighbors, friends, people who have had abortions, and people who might one day have an abortion. We are not a charity or a non-profit. We hope to build a circle of mutual support that will grow until it includes everyone. The model of a circle means we all share the work, we all give help, and we all ask for help when we need it.

Our values

  • A sketch of a coneflower

    Bodily autonomy

Our bodies belong to us, each of us is the best judge of what our body needs, and we have the final say in what happens to our own bodies.

    Compassion

We all deserve care and understanding to help us in our time of need.

    Privacy

The decisions we make for our health and well-being are no one’s business but our own, unless and until we choose to share them.

    Equitable access

Access to abortion and other reproductive needs—such as birth control, safe housing, regular health checks, formula, and diapers—should not be limited by location, insurance status, or ability to pay.

    Gender diversity

Access to reproductive health information and resources is important for all genders. People of all gender identities have abortions. Our transgender and gender non-conforming neighbors often have more barriers to meeting these needs, and we strive to help our community remove those barriers.

    Racial justice + anti-racism

Our neighbors of color often have more obstacles to safe abortion and reproductive health care, which we believe the abortion rights movement has not always taken into account. We work to support our neighbors of color in seeking care, while also working to ensure that conversations around abortion rights and related systems address and acknowledge those obstacles.
