Frequently asked questions

Support requests

  • We’re glad you made it here! One of our members will reach out to you within 24-48 hours. For privacy reasons, we may ask that we move the conversation to a phone call or Signal, a secure messaging app.

  • Your privacy is extremely important to us.

You have full control of the information you choose to disclose and to whom. In most cases, this means 1-2 people in our group will have information about your specific needs. We always have two members on any abortion support request.

  • We primarily provide information so individuals in our community can make choices that are right for them. This includes information about clinics, birth workers, relevant resources, and the abortion process
We have supported individuals with logistical issues such as finding transportation, lodging, or funding. We also help with more immediate issues like pain management or emotional support. We offer safe spaces for any type of emotional expression throughout the process.

Signal and security

  • Signal is a messaging app known for its focus on privacy and security. One of its key features is end-to-end encryption, which means that only the sender and the recipient can read the messages.

  • The short answer is that privacy and security are very important to us. Signal allows us to encrypt communications in a way that regular texting apps do not. It also includes a “disappearing messages” feature that means we can make sure private information stays private.

  • Download and install the app

On your phone, search for “Signal” in the App Store or Google Play Store. Once you find the app, tap on it, then tap the “Install” or “Get” button to download and install the app on your device.

    Set up your account

After installation, open the Signal app. You’ll be guided through the setup process, which includes verifying your phone number and creating your account.

    Use

Once set up, you can start using Signal to send messages, make calls, and share media with your contacts.

In the app settings, you can choose for your number to not be visible to others unless you’re in their contacts. In order to connect with people, you would just share your Signal username.
